Covid fundraiser

GNSA Covid Fundraiser for Khalsa Aid
On Friday, 14th May pupils, students and staff across the MAT were invited to take part in the non uniform day fundraiser. The fundraiser took place to support the work that Khalsa Aid was doing to help India during their current coronavirus crisis. The money raised in the fundraiser will supply oxygen tanks and concentrators that Khalsa Aid will be sent to India.
We have been blown away by the generosity of the school community by helping us raise a total of £8,708.05.
On Friday, we were fortunate enough to have a representative from Khalsa Aid to visit the school and meet two of the Year 7 students; Saheba and Sahajdeep. Saheba Motizada in Year 7 took on the initiative to help make items such as scrunchies and bandanas to sell to students to wear on the non uniform day. She used her pocket money to purchase the materials and the money she raised was put into the fundraiser. With a team of friends, Saheba raised a total of £82.50. Well done to her and her team!
We would like to thank you all for your support in a cause that has affected so many of us and we pray for all the families in India at this tough time for them.
