On 4th June 2020, a cheque of £25,000 was presented to the NHS Team at Ealing hospital by Pingalwara Society UK team and our GNSA staff member Mr Sangha. The money was raised by walking, running and cycling by the team. Mr Sangha participated in the NHS Challenge by cycling 151 Miles (243km) in 10 days.
Mr Sangha contributed £1609.50 towards the cheque, exceeding his target of £1,000 within 4 days. He cycled around parts of West London from 29th May 2020 – 7th June 2020.
The President of Pingalwara Charity Society UK Jagraj Singh Sran said “We thank Mr Sangha for his great contribution for a great cause. He has sent a message to all youngsters that we are here to do a service to the humanitarian work for our society. “
Mr Sangha said "I’m honoured to be part of the team and I contributed £1609.50 towards the NHS Challenge on behalf of Pingalwara Charity Society UK. It was a pleasure to raise money for the NHS especially the ones who are saving people’s lives and putting theirs in danger. It is extremely sad to hear over 40,000 deaths due to Covid 19 in the UK. My condolences and prayers to all the loved ones and their families who have lost their lives. "
GNSA would like to thank Mr Sangha for his fantastic charity effort. Well done!
