Assembly with Constable Kapoor

We are grateful that Constable Vishal Kapoor took out time to deliver a virtual assembly for our sixth form students on Tuesday, 9thof March 2021. It was really inspiring for our students to hear his journey to become a part of MET Police. He shared an essential message of 'doing something that you would love to do every day.' It was a necessary message for our Year 12s who are just starting to research their future courses and starting to prepare for UCAS, and for Year 13s who are in the process of selecting their offers on UCAS.
I am Constable Kapoor currently based at Uxbridge Police station with Roads and Transport command on Safer Transport Team. I started my career with MPS in June 2001 and have worked on the response team, safer neighbourhood, transport occupational command on route team, tasking team and now at STT. I work closely with our partners as TFL, Hillingdon council, schools and SNT.
I work with our special constabulary and met detention on regular basis. I am still very enthusiastic about my job as I was nearly 20 years ago. I believe it gives me satisfaction after a hard day of work that I have managed to achieve the goal of keeping London safe.
I have organised many operations on the borough as canal path cleaning for a safer cycle route, route a week where problems on a bus route are looked at, working with Safe Drive Stay Alive and Dragons Dens. Plus working with TFL junior citizen program. I work with religious establishments in Hillingdon borough giving advise and crime prevention by arranging bus day in Hayes town.
I have worked with Ealing Mencap providing support to underpreviledge school children by arranging a bus day in partnership with Tfl.
